Physical Description:	Melyssa is a lively person and looks like one. She can be seen fluttering around at almost any time of day… and night! Melyssa is attractive, but she doesn’t really know it. Her hair is of a sweet honey blonde colour, straight down they reach to just below her shoulders. She has pretty blue eyes, like almost any blonde has. When she laughs she gets little dimples in her cheeks. All this together makes her look like an angel most of the time. Her laughter is light and always seems melodious; yes she is a girl a lot of boys lost their hearts to. Maybe a lot of girls as well, but growing up where she did she never encountered that sort of thing. She wears light clothes, loves pastel colours and anything that that flutters around her when she moves.
Personality:	She looks like an angel and, sadly enough, has a personality to go with that. She is naive, innocent and gullible. Like her innocent, but dazed blue eyes suggest she’s not the smartest person around. She believes almost anything and is easily convinced. Melyssa is a very active young lady, always dancing and twirling around, happy to make friends and happy to talk to anyone. Melyssa is always the optimistic, cheering up sad people, or end up annoying them with her breezy nature. She has a warm and tender heart, always wanting to be there for her friends. However, because of her naivety it usually is the other way around: her friends are there for Melyssa. Melyssa needs a lot of help and guarding not to find out people aren’t as nice as she thinks the hard way. She needs sheltering and no one really knows why she, of all people, had to be brought to the Weyr. Melyssa seems to… innocent for the freedom the Weyr offers.
History:	Melyssa was born in a Minor Hold near Ista Weyr. Her parents were well respected people, though not the most high-ranked. Melyssa was a pretty girl from very young age, but it also was clear that she wasn’t to bright form early on as well. It wasn’t that she was stupid, she did well enough in her classes, she just was very naïve. Both her older brother and sister saw that, and the two of them made sure Melyssa got the care and protection she needed. Maybe this has only added to the problem, because it surely never made Melyssa able to protect herself. When she turned twelve, boys really started to take notice of her, and her older siblings started to get more and more protective. This resulted in Melyssa getting more and more naïve. After all, bad things never happened to her, that it was because of her older brother fighting boys off, she didn’t know. Four turns later Searchriders arrived at their Hold, and Melyssa was searched. Her older siblings begged and pleaded their parents not to let Melyssa go, but they decided it was Melyssa’s choice. Melyssa thought it would be really fun at the Weyr, a lot of new friends and maybe even a dragon on top of it! Not knowing what exactly she got herself into, she agreed to be taken to Brondir, ready to be a candidate!
