Physical Description:	For his age, Valian is quite short and slim; he isn't well muscled or physically imposing. He has rich brown eyes, but people rarely see them as he speaks with his head down. His hair is very dark brown as to be almost black, it is slightly wavy and is quite long. As rarely as people see it, Valian has a kindly face which is very pale and unblemished, quite a few women would call him attractive. Valian doesn't have any scars or distinguishing marks and can quite easily melt into the background, which suits him fine.
Personality:	Fiendishly shy and introverted, Valian rarely has the chance to make friends and so doesn't often do so. He is content alone and hates speaking with new people. Despite his shyness, Valian is kind and hates to see other people hurt. He possesses a gentle heart and tries to be polite to anyone he meets. He had some very obvious nervous tendancies, such as a stammer and he ducks his head to avoid locking eyes with people.
History:	Born as youngest son to a successful Harper and raised in the Harper hall, it became apparent that Valian would not make a good Harper at the age of 7. He found it impossible to hold a tune with other people listening to him, but when he's alone, he can play very well. Due to his intense stage fright, Valian was sent to become a drum messager in a hold, where he would quite contentedly stand duty alone and live in solitude. Unable to see his talented nephew melt into obscurity, one of the harpers has always kept an eye on Valian and planned to move him to Brondir with him so that no more harm would come to his talents.
