Wingleader A'evar and bronze Tesenth

Name:

A'evar

Gender:

M

Age:

30

Current Location:

Brondir Weyr

Rank:

Wingleader

Physical Description:

This man just screams bronzer, a confident look in his dark blue-grey eyes, a firm stance, broad shoulders and a serious frown on his face. His dark brown hair is firmly kept just above shoulder length, complementing his slightly angular features, and well defined nose. It's not too big, but most certainly not small either, adding character to a rather plain face.

He's just a little under 6' tall and has the muscles to accompany turns of being a dragonrider. His hands are roughened from working on his lifemate's straps, keeping them in the best condition. Some narrow white lines prove that he wasn't always as accomplished at strap maintenance as he is now.

His skin quickly tans in the Southern sun, he's not the type to redden like most of the others who come from the North. He has always spent a lot of his time outside, and even in the coldest weather, the sun will tan exposed skin .

Personality:

He's good looking, in a rough sort of way, and he knows it. He makes an effort to look presentable at all times, after all, he is a bronzer.

Everything has a place in A'evar's world, and rank is one of the most important. He doesn't believe in randomly abusing those of lesser rank, but he does believe that one should remember their place. He won't turn violent believing that is beneath him, but an ice cold tongue lashing from this man will quickly achieve the same effect, perhaps even worse. A'evar has a way with words, and be it good or bad, he gets what he wants.

Just because he believes that violence is beneath him, doesn't mean he won't defend himself. He has quick ways to dislocate a shoulder, break an arm or a nose but will only do so if someone under his protection, himself or his beloved Tesenth, is threatened.

He believes blue and greenriders shouldn't be in ranking positions, they far too flighty. He sees their strong points, mainly the manoeuvrability they display in fighting Thread but, as far as he is concerned, they should be kept firmly in line at all times.

A'evar is often accused of being a cold, cruel, heartless man. He's not... well, not completely. You need to earn his respect and that is hard, however the hardest thing is keeping that respect. He demands a lot from others, but even more from himself.

History:

Growing up as the eldest son of a Harper couple with three younger sisters and a little brother closing the ranks, Ayfevar grew up around words, quickly learning to use them to his fullest advantage. His father was much like A'evar: a very hard man, demanding nothing short of perfection from his son. Ayfevar strove to fulfil every single one of his father's demands with the same perfection his father wanted. He was quick to learn and practice what he had learnt. When was old enough, he apprenticed to the Harper Craft, mainly because that was the best way to earn his father's approval.

He never expected to be Searched, but he was at 14 Turns of age.
That, however, did not fall within his father's expectations, and the two hardly exchanged words with each other until a bulky bronze came straight towards the boy, now 17. {{A'evar, can't you see that Your's is hungry? I demand to be fed. Now.}}.

Impressing Bronze, now that was something his father could live with, but by that time, A'evar no longer wished to work himself senseless to achieve approval from the 'old fool'. They talked again, on civil terms, and since then the father gained respect for his son for making his own way and not struggling to be approved of.

For 13 turns, A'evar and Tesenth remained in High Reaches Weyr. He had three children, that he knows of, ranging from 5 to 10 turns of age. Each and everyone was fostered out by their mother, or was put in the Creche. A'evar does not think it's a big deal, thinking it better for the children to not grow attached to him, since the occupation of being a dragonrider is not a safe one.

After those 13 Turns A'evar grew bored, it seeped into everything he did, and it annoyed him to no end. He decided to transfer, anything to chase the boredom away and put him on edge again. What better way than to go to the Brondir Weyr? His motivation? Curiosity.

Dragon Information:
Name:

Tesenth

Colour:

Bronze

Physical Description:

Tesenth is a bulky bronze, with great stamina, but as such poor agility, depending on betweening a lot. He's one of the darker bronzes, coloured evenly, but in the setting son, some shimmers of a lighter bronze reflect the sun's last rays.

Personality:

Tesenth appears to be a perfect representation of his Rider, demanding nothing but perfection of himself. He's a Bronze and should be treated as such, but also should achieve as such. He's always pushing himself to find his next limit, to be better then he is, but sometimes he pushes himself a bit too far, resulting in being grounded for a few days, leaving him to sulk at his Lifemate because he's the one who grounds him by reasoning that a 'dragon who pushes himself too far isn't good'.
